The molecules influenced by MT-6194 include known biomarkers of SSc (e.g., Matrix metallopeptidase 12 (MMP-12)16, CCL2, ICAM-117 and so on) and some of them (e.g., Chemerin, also known as retinoic acid receptor responder protein 2 (RARRES2)18, GDF-15, and VEGFA19) have been reported to play roles in the pathogenesis of SSc-PAH, indicating that MT-6194 may also impact the pathogenesis of SSc-PAH. This evidence concerns the gene GDF15 and systemic sclerosis.
