We evaluated the organic toxicity after challenge infection, and results showed that the vaccination with rCHI/MPLA or rCHI/Mic reduced the levels of creatinine (Fig. 6A), urea (Fig. 6B), ALT (Fig. 6C) and AST (Fig. 6D), when compared to values found in control group mice, which presented higher levels of these renal and hepatic damage markers, suggesting possibly organic alterations caused by own L. infantum infection.
