To examine the role of antigen presentation by glioma we queried our human glioma single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) dataset and identified a rare population of tumor cells with elevated expression of CD83, a marker of mature antigen-presenting cells (APC) that normally acts to prolong CD8+ T-cell expansion and promotes CTL-mediated antitumor immunity (26–28). This evidence concerns the gene CD83 and central nervous system cancer.
