Given that CD83 functions as a regulator of MHC expression and T-cell development (27, 28, 53, 54), our data introduce that it as a possible enhancer of self-antigen presentation in glioma cells, suggesting that ALTs could be promoting antitumor CTL responses by direct tumor–CTL priming of CD8+ T cells.
