Recently, it has been demonstrated that the live suspension of L. paracasei X12 had a tumor suppressive effect on colorectal cancer by preventing weight loss and decreasing tumor volume; downregulated proliferation inducer and anti-apoptotic like Bcl-3, Jak-1, and Akt-1 genes and upregulated pro-apoptotic genes like Bax, Cas-3 in a DMH-induced rat model (Jam et al., 2020). Here, BAX is linked to colorectal cancer.
