In line with the reduction of hepatic steatosis showed by histological analysis, we observed a decrease in the four key rate‐limiting enzymes of DNL, namely ATP‐citrate lyase (ACLY), acetyl‐CoA carboxylase 1 (ACC1), fatty acid synthase (FASN), and Diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT), and an increase in fatty acids β‐oxidation (Carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1 (CPT1)) in rats with MASH fed DC12 (Figure 3J–L). The gene discussed is FASN; the disease is fatty liver disease.
