In conclusion, our data suggest that ITN, the main active ingredient in the edible and medicinal plant N. candida, could effectively inhibit the development and hepatotoxicity of MASLD fatty liver induced by an HFSD diet and inhibit abnormal lipid accumulation by regulation of the AMPK/SREBP-1c/ACC signaling pathway. This evidence concerns the gene SREBF1 and Hepatic steatosis.
