Further pathway analysis revealed that the abundance of microbiota possessing carbohydrate metabolism-related GH1 and GH4 genes in the NASH group was significantly enriched in the Pentose and glucuronate interconversions pathway as compared to PAMK group, and serum metabolites were enriched in the Carbon metabolism and Citrate cycle pathways. This evidence concerns the gene GH1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
