DDX17 and infection: The samples that tested negative by PPA were all under 21 dpi (Table 1), which is likely due to the low abundance of anti-p72 antibodies in those samples during the early phase of infection; this was further supported by the animal experiment data showing that the p54-based AsurDxTM bELISA detected anti-ASFV anti-bodies a few days earlier than the PPA (Table 3).
