Psoriasis is a chronic immune-mediated disease in which the inflammatory response is supported by T helper (Th)1 and Th17 lymphocytes; furthermore, Th22 activation also plays an important role, resulting in the activation of the interleukin (IL)-23/17 signaling pathway and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) [7,8,9]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and psoriasis.
