A recent large cohort study by Wang et al. demonstrated that GLP-1 agonists are associated with a lower risk of incident HCC in patients with type 2 diabetes, with hazard ratios of 0.20 (95% CI: 0.14–0.31), 0.39 (95% CI: 0.21–0.69), and 0.63 (95% CI: 0.26–1.50) when compared with insulin, sulfonylureas, and metformin, respectively [114]. Here, GCG is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
