SETD2 and infection: LIPI-3 encodes listeriolysin S (LLS), a bacteriocin with hemolytic and cytotoxic factors that contributes to polymorphonuclear neutrophil survival as well as to alteration in the gut microbiota [22,30,33], while LIPI-4 is involved in the infection of the host’s neuronal and placental tissues, in addition to conferring potential hypervirulent strains [34,35].
