Densitometric analysis of the immunoblots indicated that the levels of AQP4 were significantly higher in stroke patients at D1 compared to the controls, both in the TEVs [median × 106 (interquartile range, IQR × 106): 4.83 (2.46–10.21) vs. 2.96 (1.51–3.76), p = 0.047] and ADEVs [median × 106 (IQR × 106): 0.27 (0.09–0.41) vs. 0.08 (0.06–0.1), p = 0.006]. This evidence concerns the gene AQP4 and stroke disorder.
