The HER2-lytic hybrid peptide was designed to expose the KCCYSL sequence at the carboxy terminal of the lytic sequence (KCCYSLGGGKLLLKLLKKLLKLLKKK) instead of leaving its leucine exposed as in the case of Biri-Kovacs et al. The results still showed the cytotoxicity of this peptide on HER2-overexpressing cancer cells. Here, ERBB2 is linked to cancer.
