However, we found that sEng in the second trimester was a valuable biomarker of preterm delivery (OR 1.45, CI95 [1.00–2.13]; p = 0.046) and gestational hypertension (OR 1.91, CI95 [1.16–3.48]; p = 0.016) and that the sEng/PlGF ratio in the second trimester was a good predictor of preeclampsia (OR 19.85, CI95 [1.36–879.73]; p = 0.040). This evidence concerns the gene PGF and preeclampsia.
