Patients suffering from CVD (mean: 395.96 ± 154.77 ng/mL) (p = 0.002) and PC (mean: 385.18 ± 99.60 ng/mL) (p = 0.003) had significantly higher chemerin serum levels compared to MS, whereas mean values of patients with either ID or epilepsy did not significantly differ in chemerin serum levels from the control group or MS patients. This evidence concerns the gene RARRES2 and epilepsy.
