FOXM1 and malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor: The increased FOXM1 expression is an important driver of cell proliferation, autophagy, migration, invasion, tumor growth, and progression, regulating the expression of targeted genes such as cyclin B1/D1, STAT3, Aurora A/B, BRCA2, Beclin1, PLK, RAD51, MMP2, VEGF-A, and integrin B. FOXM1 is amplified in 5.6% of breast cancers (BCs), 42% of non-Hodgkin lymphomas, and 58% of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors.
