In preclinical studies using two orthotopic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) xenograft models (MDA-MB-231 and MDA-MB-436), systemic intravenous administration of FOXM1-specific siRNA or miR-34a encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles significantly delayed tumor growth.
