As recently reported by Abdel-Hafiz, Hany A et al. [30], in the bladder tumor microenvironment, the ability of cells with Y—is properly that of evading the host immune system through the cell exhaustion of CD8+ cells and thus the ability to grow much faster and be more aggressive, but at the same time an increased response to anti-PD1 ICI therapy. This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and urinary bladder neoplasm.
