While much of the research has focused on well-established oncogenic pathways and classic enzymes, our findings highlight the importance of less conventional players, such as PDGFRA, GSTs, ETC complex I, PLCG2, PRDX6, SRC, and JAK2, at least in the most prevalent types of cancers including BRCA, COAD, LUAD, PRAD, and LIHC. The gene discussed is JAK2; the disease is cancer.
