The inflammatory biomarkers CRP (Figure 2F) and IL-6 (Figure 2E) were also significantly greater in the Cd-exposed group than in the control group, with increasing CRP (p < 0.01) and increasing IL-6 (p < 0.0001), indicating that CdCl2 is important in causing inflammation and metabolic disorders. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and metabolic disease.
