One of our previous studies investigated the role of circH19 in human adipose-derived stem cells (hADSCs) and its association with metabolic syndrome, finding that the knockdown of circH19 promotes adipogenic differentiation and lipid accumulation in hADSCs through a mechanism involving the polypyrimidine tract-binding protein 1 (PTBP1). The gene discussed is PTBP1; the disease is metabolic syndrome.
