Mutations in MMR genes, namely MLH1 (chromosome 3), MSH2 (chromosome 2), MSH6 (chromosome 2), and PMS2 (chromosome 7), are associated with a 0.7–1.7% risk of hereditary prostate cancer and as high as 3.7% in sporadic PCa [76,77,78]. This evidence concerns the gene MSH6 and prostate carcinoma.
