CYP2A6 and colorectal carcinoma: Previous studies have shown that dysfunction of the Hippo pathway is associated with the development and metastasis of CRC.53,54 However, the expression of CYP1A2 and CYP2A6 was significantly increased in 5-fluorouracil- and oxaliplatin-resistant cells.55 Silencing of E-cadherin expression increases the chemosensitivity of CRC cell lines to irinotecan and oxaliplatin.56 Further studies are needed to confirm the mechanism of oxaliplatin resistance in CRC.
