An association between the presence of the BRAFV600E mutation, mRNA FOXE1 expression, and methylation was detected, where the BRAFV600E+ tumors had lower expression (121727.54 ± 5419.814 AU) and higher methylation (0.615242 ± 0.26681367 AU) of CpGisland2’ compared to the BRAFV600E- tumor samples (mRNA expression: 124985.91 ± 9281.498 AU and CpGisland2’ methylation: 0.584073 ± 0.2705702 AU) (P < 0.05). The gene discussed is FOXE1; the disease is neoplasm.
