Strikingly, the results revealed that patients with high CD44 mRNA expression were significantly associated with HOXA, LMO2/LYL1 oncogenic subgroups, which are enriched in early T-cell precursors ALL (ETP-ALL) (Supplementary Figures 13A, B) [38–40] and present a poor prognosis after chemotherapy [41]. Here, CD44 is linked to acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
