SP100 and neoplasm: For instance, SP100 expression is induced by interferons [54, 55], and interferons have been shown antiviral and anticancer activities [56, 57], thus, SP100 was reported to function as a tumor suppressor mechanistically through inhibiting the transcriptional activity of ETS1, which is important in several cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, invasion, angiogenesis and lymphoid development [54, 55].
