In contrast to our finding, expression of RASopathy-linked mutations in Drosophila PTPN11 homologue csw leading to an increased pERK activity also resulted in an increase in the size of RRP as assessed by electrophysiological recordings as well as by immunohistochemistry of NMJ synaptic boutons of Drosophila larvae (Leahy et al. 2024, 2023). Here, PTPN11 is linked to RASopathy.
