In a meta-analysis of 8 randomized, controlled trials including 866 patients with a clinical diagnosis of T1D who had received teplizumab, teplizumab use was found to be associated with decreased insulin use at 6, 12, and 18 months after diagnosis, and stimulated C-peptide AUC was higher at 12, 18, and 24 months (22).
