Mechanically, the depletion of METTL3 has been shown to enhance the response to anti‐PD‐1 therapy by stabilising the IFNγ‐Stat1‐Irf1 signalling axis in colorectal and melanoma cancer cells, and in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cancer cells, METTL3 deletion has been observed to destabilise both c‐Myc and PD‐L1 mRNAs.14, 15. This evidence concerns the gene IRF1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
