Hypomethylation of the zDHHC12 gene is particularly significant in high-grade glioma samples and is associated with IDH wild-type samples, suggesting that the methylation status of the zDHHC12 gene may occur before the increase in zDHHC12 expression, providing a potential biomarker for early screening of gliomas. This evidence concerns the gene ZDHHC12 and central nervous system cancer.
