Consistently, low doses of androgens (defined as 1 pM R1881, LAL) promote growth whereas SAL (defined as 1 nM R1881) inhibits potently PCa cell proliferation and induces cellular senescence, which is dependent on the presence of AR (Roediger et al. 2014; Niu et al. 2008). This evidence concerns the gene AR and posterior cortical atrophy.
