Kim et al. (57) showed that NR1D1 acted as a tumor suppressor in a tumor microenvironment by negatively regulating the PYD domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome, suggesting that blocking the NLRP3 inflammasome by NR1D1 activation may be a therapeutic strategy to treat lung cancer. This evidence concerns the gene NR1D1 and lung cancer.
