IL6 and Joubert syndrome with ocular defect: JSO’s ability to significantly reduce the expression levels of IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α, while simultaneously elevating the levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-10 and TGF-β, suggesting that it plays a role in restoring the balance between pro- and anti-inflammatory signals in key mood-related regions, such as the Hip and mPFC, thereby alleviating depressive symptoms.
