IL6 and infection: Neutrophil (NEU) count, lymphocyte (LYM) count, monocyte (MON) count, neutrophil–lymphocyte ratio (NLR), neutrophil–monocyte ratio (NMR), lymphocyte–monocyte ratio (LMR), C‐reactive protein (CRP) level, procalcitonin (PCT) level, and interleukin 6 (IL6) level are common indicators of systemic inflammation, and D-dimer (DD) is a hypercoagulable marker as well as an indicator for monitoring inflammation and severe infection (12–14).
