The association between CI and laboratory findings, including anemia [8], electrolyte disturbance (e.g. hyponatremia) [19], nutritional markers (e.g. serum creatinine [19, 24], serum albumin [24, 25], serum total cholesterol [24]), and inflammatory markers [e.g. high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP)] [24], at diagnosis are summarized in Table 1. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and anemia.
