Both single- and double-knockout organoids had significantly lower BAP1 activity scores relative to wildtype (pairwise t-test with Bonferroni correction P= 8.3e−11 and P= 1.5e−12, respectively; Figure 3E), but no difference was observed in the samples with the classic DNAJB1–PRKACA fusion or PRKACA knockout, which is the known major driver of that subset of liver cancer. The gene discussed is BAP1; the disease is liver cancer.
