A combination of enteral cilostazol and IV high-dose albumin was associated with amelioration of angiographic vasospasm and perfusion deficits in aSAH patients with severe refractory cerebral ischemia, presumably via multiple pathways that involve improved flow through microcirculation and reduction of proliferative changes in medium-sized and small arteries and prevention of platelet aggregation. The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is brain ischemia.
