Likewise, these MYC-targeted genes were upregulated and downregulated at both the mRNA and protein levels by overexpression of KLF16 and KLF16 KD or KO in T24 cells, respectively (Fig. 2B-G), indicating that KLF16 may function by regulating MYC, one of the most commonly dysregulated transcription factors in BLCA [23]. The gene discussed is KLF16; the disease is bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
