This applies to the NAFLD score [31], a composite score of clinical parameters (age, body mass index [BMI], diabetes) and laboratory parameters (alanine transaminase [ALT], aspartate transaminase [AST], albumin concentrations, platelet count) (Fig. 1C), as well as to the FIB4 score [32], which only incorporates age, ALT, AST and platelet count (Fig. 1D).
