Based on the SGs detected in our atherosclerosis case study, preliminary results have identified several highly promising regulatory molecules including transcription factors (TFs) (e.g., SOX9, SPI1, TCF4, PGR, FOXO4) and non-coding RNAs (e.g., linc1503, miRNA let-7e-5p) as strongly linked to the expression of proteomic SGs indicating initiation or progression of disease.
