In our previous study, NF-κB was found to mediate the upregulation of PRDM16, thereby inhibiting renal fibrosis through the transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 (TRPA1)/mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK)/transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) axis [25].
