Although numerous predictive models for HCC have been developed, such as the HCC prognostic model established by Shi et al. [31], which is based on four genes associated with exhausted CD8 + T cells and has demonstrated its potential in HCC prognosis and guidance of immunotherapy, and the prognostic model proposed by Chen et al. [32], who conducted gene and molecular studies on the anoikis-related pathway and identified five genes as prognostic markers for HCC, capable of predicting OS to a certain extent. The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
