Plasma samples from AA participants showed that seven ncRNAs (miRs-31-5p, 147b, 16-5p, 375-3p, 422a, 324-3p, and snoRA42) showed a significant increase in expression in patients with lung cancer compared with cancer-free AA controls (Mann–Whitney U test: P < 0.05; FDR-adjusted P < 0.05; Table 3; Fig. 1; Supplementary Fig. S1). The gene discussed is SNORA80E; the disease is cancer.
