CRP and infection: The main findings of this study were 1) CRP levels reached a peak level of 0.92 ± 1.22 mg/dl at seven days postoperatively in ACLR patients with no postoperative infection complications, with a subsequent decrease noted at 14 days postoperatively; 2) sex, patient age, BMI, and facility where surgery was performed were factors that affected postoperative CRP levels; and 3) mean CRP levels in the present study were lower compared to those reported previously in Europe and the United States [1,16,17].
