In line with our findings, Papadimitriou et al. have previously identified ΔNp63 as the main p63 isoform in urothelial carcinomas and demonstrated that loss of ΔNp63 is significantly associated with a higher risk for recurrence and progression of non‐muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinomas.32 This evidence concerns the gene TP63 and urothelial carcinoma.
