Additionally, the expression of M1 macrophage markers CD86 and CD80 (Fig 1E and 1F) in tumor tissues surpassed that in adjacent tissues, while the expression of M2 macrophage markers CD163, CD206, and Arg-1 in tumor tissues was also higher than in adjacent tissues (p<0.05, p<0.01) (Fig 1A–1C).
