Distant metastasis eliminates the possibility of radical surgery for patients with HCC, leading to a poor prognosis and often fatal outcomes.[32] However, the drugs available for effectively treating patients with HCC are limited,[33] prompting us to investigate factors contributing to the occurrence and progression of HCC, especially those that promote metastasis.[34] In this study, we identified NSUN5 as a promoter of HCC metastasis and explored its underlying mechanism. The gene discussed is NSUN5; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
