To ascertain the function of PCYT2 expression on the metastasis of CRC cells, we constructed HCT116 and HT29 cells stably overexpressing PCYT2 and found that overexpression of PCYT2 led to upregulation of the epithelial marker E-cadherin but downregulation of mesenchymal markers (N-cadherin and Vimentin) and key transcription factors (Snail1, Twist, Snail2, and ZEB1) (Figure 2, A–D). Here, TWIST1 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
