Following MZGCY intervention in CKD rats, there was a marked decrease in IL-6, TNF-α, and the levels of TLR4, MyD88, and NF-κB in the intestinal tissue, indicating that MZGCY may ameliorate renal damage in CKD rats, most likely to related to its ability to downregulate the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathway, thereby inhibiting inflammatory responses and exerting a protective effect against CKD. This evidence concerns the gene TLR4 and chronic kidney disease.
