Additionally, an increasing number of studies on the role of Gal-3 in mediating T-cell functional suppression via LAG3 have been published127,128, with substantial amounts of Gal-3-expressing EVs being extracted from head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cell lines, indicating that Gal-3 may interact with LAG3 through EVs129.
