miR-210 expression was significantly increased, promoting NF-κB dependent proinflammatory cytokine expression and inhibiting SOCS1 (suppressor of cytokine signaling 1), thus inducing macrophage polarization from M2 to M1 state and contributing to a fatty tissue chronic inflammation and insulin resistance that could end up in obesity-induced T2DM [46].
